  • Welcome to Parkview Preschool

We are a purpose built centre ready to offer you and your child/ren peace of mind that they are receiving quality care and education.

    Vision: Growing as learners together.

Mission: “For young tamariki to be confident, connected and actively involved lifelong learners.

Philosophy: Our philosophy is based on the holistic way in which tamariki learn.  We believe each child should be treated and respected as a whole person, mind, body, and spirit. Our approach to education for our young tamariki is founded on the principals, strands, and goals laid out in Te Whariki in our Early Childhood Curriculum. Parkview Preschool understands and values the benefits for tamariki of learning through play. We ensure our children are happy, stimulated and engaged while exploring and discovering the world around them. We also ensure tamariki are confident in themselves and the environment to further develop their creativity and express themselves. We embrace the values and all that is embedded with Tiriti o Waitangi within our teaching and learning programme. We believe that biculturalisim must be integrated within our teaching and learning programme, by supporting and encouraging all Maori learners. We believe through recognising this unique identity, language and culture, they can enjoy and achieve education success as Maori learners.  Our programme celebrates and values the diverse cultures that make up our centre whānau and wider community. We believe that every child is unique, inquisitive, incredibly capable and should be celebrated as competent and able to drive their own learning journey through exploration and experimentation. Each child should be seen as an individual, meaning each one requires different care and support through each stage of their learning journey.
